The Wells Community Library is part of the Cariboo Regional District Library, a network of 15 branch libraries and one reading centre located within the Cariboo Regional District.
The Wells Library is open 10 hours a week:

The library is located in the lower level of the Wells Community Hall on Sanders Avenue, with access from the double doors at the rear of the building, which are wheelchair accessible A free library card is available to anyone who lives in or owns property in the Cariboo Regional District.
Applicants need a valid ID and some proof of their current address. A card from the Wells Library can be used at other libraries within the CRD, including the three main branches in Quesnel, Williams Lake and 100 Mile House. Children of all ages are encouraged to obtain their own cards, for which valid ID such as a care card or birth certificate, are required. Temporary residents of Wells are able to get a library card upon payment of a $25 refundable deposit. This deposit is returned if the patron brings back all borrowed materials before leaving town. The
Wells Library has two computers with access to the Internet and to the on-line book catalogue of the Cariboo Regional District Library. If a book is not in the Wells Library collection, it may be borrowed from another CRDL branch, or from another library in the province. It is possible to use the computer without a Library card, depending on availability (i.e. if it isn't being used by cardholders or the Librarian), providing some form of identification is provided.
The Wells Library is proud of the service it provides, and welcomes all residents - both permanent and temporary - to obtain a Library card and make use of the books and other materials in its collection.
